Makes 12 Large or 36 mini
400gm Sausage meat
300gm mince steak
1 small zucchini
½ sweet potato
1 cup bread crumbs
2 table spoons tomato paste
salt & pepper
3 sheets of puff pastry (thawed)
2 table spoons of milk
1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
Pre-heat oven to 200°C
Line 2 baking tray with baking paper .
Finely chop the onion & place in a large mixing bowl.
Grate the carrot, zucchini & sweet potato & add to the mixing bowl.
Add both of the minces, bread crumbs, egg, tomato paste, salt & pepper.
Mix together & divide into 6 equal portions.
Cut pastry sheets in half.
Roll a portion of mince mixture into a sausage shape & place along the center of the pastry.
Brush one edge of the pastry with water & roll up, sealing the edges together.
Cut the sausage rolls into equal sizes. To make 12 cut the 6 sausage in half, to make 36 cut them into 6 pieces each.
Place on to baking tray seam side down, brush with milk & sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 20min, then reduce heat to 180°C for 10min & cook until golden.
